It’s no secret that competing on Survivor will take a serious toll on your body, and after living off bananas and rice for weeks, we don’t blame the contestants for indulging afterwards.

Dubbed this year’s ‘mean girl’, Brooke Jowett may have left after tribal council last night, but the 23-year-old has admitted that she’s still feeling the effects of the island.

Speaking with WSFM’s Jonesy and Amanda, the brunette beauty confessed, ‘I came out of the island and ate and ate and ate’.

Brooke has previously confessed to OK! that her biggest fear on the island was ‘the lack of food, more than anything!’ and that her biggest indulgence was chocolate and coffee, something she ‘fessed to eating once she was back in civilization.

Food, glorious food! Australian Survivor's Brooke Jowett revealed to WSFM's Jonesy and Amanda that she gained eight kilos in 12 days after she was booted from the series

After radio host Amanda jokingly asked if she ‘put on about 18kg’ after filming stopped, Brooke responded, ‘You know what… I put on eight kilos in 12 days’. Wow!

Definitely deserving of total indulgence, many contestants have noted how drastic weight loss was one of the side-effects of appearing on the show.

Brooke even recounted a recent experience where she was chased down the street by an intoxicated woman who was throwing food at her!
