If her surname is anything to go by, The Bachelorette Australia’s new leading lady Georgia Love is someone to get excited about, as she embarks on a quest for love in the 2016 installment of the popular reality series.

WHAT MADE HER SIGN ON FOR THE SHOW?

‘The opportunity came to me and I trust in the world, and thought, if this has come up, then, why not?’ Georgia tells OK! exclusively. ‘When could you ever get an experience like this where someone can scour the country for you to help find you the perfect guy?’

WHY HAS IT TAKEN HER SO LONG TO FIND LOVE?

Simple: career has been getting in the way! The accomplished journalist has put work ahead of pleasure, but at last, she’s ready for a change. ‘I’ve always felt something has been missing.’ She explains.

IS SHE NERVOUS ABOUT DATING ON TV?

Filming for the next season of The Bachelorette started earlier this week, but you can bet Georgia will know what she’s doing! She tells OK! she’s a massive supporter of the show, as well as its counterpart, The Bachelor. ‘I’ve watched all but the first season,’ she laughs.

WHO’S HER FAVE AUSSIE BACHIE?

It could’ve worked out very differently for Sam Wood had Georgia appeared on The Bachelor last year, as she reveals to OK! she has a secret crush on him! ‘He seems like a genuine lovely guy, who also had passion and drive in both personal life and career,’ Georgia shares.

WHAT’S SHE REALLY LIKE?

The professional trapeze artist describes herself as ‘your girl next door – but far from average’. She was the obvious pick amongst the hundreds of applicants for the role, explain reps from the show’s network, Channel 10. ‘Georgia’s impressive accomplishments and warm personality made her the clear.’

WHAT ABOUT KIDS?

A little one to the Love isn’t on the agenda anytime soon. ‘When I meet the right person, [having children is] something I will be able to envisage,’ she says, but at the moment, the ‘time isn’t right’.

WILL SHE MOVE FOR LOVE?

After growing up at picturesque Brighton Beach, and then attending university at Melbourne’s prestigious RMIT, Georgia moved to Tasmania. ‘Tassie is home to me,’ she spills. ‘I love feeling like I’m living on the edge of the world.’ Fingers crossed one of the hopefuls is a Tassie local!
