It seems like yesterday Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced the birth of their daughter Apple and the world was left baffled by her odd name.
But now, the soon-to-be 16-year-old has started making her own path in the world after proud dad Chris revealed that Apple has a new job- and it sounds like a very typical first job.
Apple Martin is all grown up and has a job!
(Image: Instagram @gwynethpaltrow)Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, the Coldplay frontman appeared on her talk show with bandmate Jonny Buckland and spoke about Apple’s new gig.
“My daughter works in a clothing store. It’s her first job and she’s about to be 16 and I’m so proud of her, she’s making her way in the world and I didn’t tell her but I went to see her,” Chris said on the show.
He went on to say that he felt like he should buy something from the store so he took a T-shirt from the rack and lined up in the queue.
“She was at the checkout, there were two, and she saw me and went like this,” he said before mouthing “Dad! Get out!”

(Getty)Chris went on to say that he “felt terrible” so he moved to the other checkout line to pay for the T-shirt, adding that he was “really scared” of his daughter.
He added that he brought Apple some fudge as a sweet present, explaining, “I told the lady ‘Could you just give this to my daughter?'”
While the 15-year-old may have had an embarrassing moment, the Coldplay singer added, “As I was leaving, she shouted, ‘I love you dad!'” Cute!
Chris and Apple may have a special bond, but the gorgeous teen is looking more and more like her mum, Gwyneth Paltrow, every day.

Indeed, the Internet went into meltdown when Gwyneth’s good pal Derek Blasberg shared a photo of the Oscar winner, her mum Blythe Danner and daughter Apple Martin.
In the snap, the three generations of women smile sweetly at the camera and fans couldn’t help but notice how much Apple looks like her mum.
“Peas in a pod!” one fan remarked while another noted, “Apple looks more like Gwyneth than Gwyneth does.”
We can’t wait to see what the gorgeous teen will get up to next!
