After a happy family ‘honeymoon’ in Las Vegas and London, Simone is ready to give her womanising ex another chance. Phillip Koch reports
Shane Warne and Simone Callahan are expected to return to Australia as husband and wife, having spent a fortnight “honeymooning” with their kids in Las Vegas and London.
Their very public display of affection at the Wimbledon men’s final on July 5 confirms what friends have known for six months – that Shane has finally convinced Simone to take him back.
And Shane’s three biggest fans, Brooke, 12, Jackson, 10, and Summer, 7, couldn’t be happier that their mum and dad are back together, with the whole family now understood to be living in Shane’s $10 million Brighton mansion.
Brooke was beaming when Shane and Simone kissed affectionately during a flight from Las Vegas to Dallas while the family was en-route to London, where Shane played his last cricket match at Lord’s.
Simone, Shane and their children sat together during the flight, and there was no questioning the intimacy between the couple. The children couldn’t contain their excitement, and Simone called Shane “babe” several times.
“They looked really happy and comfortable together,” confirms one passenger. “You would almost think they were honeymooners!”
Shane flew to Las Vegas almost two weeks ago to host the 888 Poker launch party at Palms Resort before playing in the Ante Up For Africa charity tournament and competing in the World Series of Poker.
Simone arrived a few days later with their children, checking into Shane’s suite on the 24th floor of the Encore Tower at Wynn luxury hotel.
