Hyde & Seek star Deborra-lee Furness has revealed that while she wasn’t too keen on her husband Hugh Jackman playing Wolverine at first, the costume has come in handy in the bedroom!

Before Hugh first played the role in X-Men in 2000, Deborra-lee told him he should turn it down.

Hugh revealed in a TV interview last year that Deb told him she thought it was ‘a terrible idea’.

But now Deborra-lee, 60, admits she was wrong and has changed her mind.  ‘Once in a marriage you’re allowed to be wrong,’ she joked to 2DayFM’s Rove and Sam this week.

A few years ago Hugh revealed that he sometimes brings out the Wolverine costume, claws and all, in the privacy of their bedroom. ‘The sheets we go through…’ he joked.

In her radio interview this week, Deborra-lee was asked about this and she joked that the claws also get used for more practical purposes… like mixing salad.

As Hugh, 48, prepares to play the role one last time in the upcoming Logan 3 due out next March, Deborra-lee promises that won’t be the last we see of wolverine, joking to Rove and Sam that he’ll  be keeping the costume. ‘We’ll bring it out at Halloween, even when he’s 70,  adding, ‘We’ll dress him up and send him out.’
