Despite ‘only having positive things’ to say about his estranged wife Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt is said to be growing frustrated by the ‘smear campaign’ being launched against him in the wake of their split.

A friend of the couple told ET to admit that the 52-year-old actor ‘refuses to disparage’ Ange, 41, and that ‘he will only say positive things about [the] mother [of his children]’.

‘He has also made it clear to friends to not say anything negative about her,’ the insider adds. ‘He continues to hope that there is an amicable resolution in the interest of the kids.’

The reason for the couple’s split is rumoured to be partly due to a mid-flight argument that Brad had with their eldest son Maddox, 15.

Angelina is seeking sole physical custody of their six children, granting Brad visitation rights; however, a source claims he wants shared custody.
