Last Friday, The Real Housewives of Sydney cast was announced, and newcomer Lisa Oldfield was quick to throw some serious shade at her Melbourne counterparts.

Lisa is married to One Nation founder and former Pauline Hanson campaign manager David Oldfield, and when asked by Pedestrian what her thoughts were on Melbourne, the outspoken ex-television presenter had less-than-glowing things to say about the city and its Housewives.

‘I wouldn’t compare myself to any of those girls, you know? The benchmark is so low,’ she said. ‘They come from, you know, an also-ran city like Melbourne. The best thing about Melbourne is their upside down river – which is heavily polluted.’

She continued her insults with, ‘The best thing to come out of Melbourne was probably Underbelly… Like, you know, really we’re starting very low.’

After the interview was posted, Melbourne Housewife Gamble Breaux quickly snapped back at Lisa, commenting on the Facebook video, ‘Good luck riding off our ratings you stupid old cow. Blood sucking ticks like you wouldn’t survive in Melbourne. I have a better looking mop at home that I clean my floors with!’

Ouch! With this much drama before the season even airs, we can’t wait to see what these Housewives have in store for us.
