By handing out her ‘first impression’ rose to charming suitor Courtney Dober, Bachelorette Georgia Love made a move that puts him in fine form for the finale – and doesn’t he know it! ‘Past seasons have crossed my mind, and this rose definitely puts me in a very good position,’ the Melbourne based industrial designer, 30, tells OK!

Previous offerings of both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have seen the winner make an impact early on in the season, and for their efforts, they’ve taken out a significant rose, date or kiss.

Courtney has his fingers crossed that the formula works in his favour. ‘I hope I’ll be there at the end, but we’ll just have to wait and see,’ he says. One things for sure, the sparks between him and Georgia, 28, were there from the get-go, so chuffed was she with his gift from the heart – a homemade pasta bracelet.

‘I think she was impressed at the thought that went into it,’ he shares of the present that is not to unlike the handmade rose Sasha gifted Sam Frost last series. If Courtney does make it to the end, there’s one small issue Georgia might want to address with him – his extremely recent ex. ‘That break-up was probably one of the biggest hurdles I’ve overcome,’ he tells OK! Of the five year relationship that ended only a few months before he signed on for the show.
