In devastating news, this year’s The Bachelorette star Georgia Love has seen her mother admitted to palliative care for ‘aggressive’ pancreatic cancer just days before the finale airs.

Belinda Love was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer around the same time the 28-year-old was approached to star on the show, following an investigation into her abdominal pain.

In a statement to The Daily Telegraph, Network Ten said, ‘Georgia and her family are going through a very difficult time with seriously family health issues. They are focusing on supporting each other during this hard time and we kindly ask you to respect their privacy.’

Georgia has been open about her mother’s struggles with cancer since the first episode, in which she admitted to her mum that she wanted to find a love like the one her parents share.

The final episode of The Bachelorette will air later this week, which would traditionally mean an intense schedule of media commitments for the winning couple; however, it’s now unclear whether Georgia will be continuing with her arranged media appearances.

Happy Mummy’s Day maman! Thanks for loving me even when I looked like this 👪💕
