Wait – we’re not ready to say goodbye!

Word is Lena Dunham is going to wrap up her hit series Girls after its sixth season.

With the fifth season set to air in February, Lena has said that she doesn’t want to push the show past its prime.

‘I think America has a tendency to push shows past their due dates,’ she explains.

Here comes the bride! Because the girls are women now… Sort of. @girlshbo is back Feb 21!

The 29-year-old actress, who writes, directs and stars in the hilarious show, has also revealed her feelings about wrapping up the series.

‘I started working on this show when I was 23, and I’m going to be 30 so it kind of feels right that this show kind of sandwiched my 20s and then I go off into the world.’

With the characters resonating with a lot of young women, we can imagine there will be a few tears (and tantrums) when we’re forced to say goodbye to Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna!
