Kieren Jack, the 29-year-old co-captain of the Sydney Swans AFL team, has devastated his parents by not inviting them to the AFL grand final this Saturday.

The reason for the snub, and the resulting public fallout, stems from Kieren choosing to give free AFL grand final tickets to his girlfriend Charlotte Goodlet’s parents back in 2014.

Intended as an act of goodwill, the gesture backfired when his parents took issue with the free flights and accommodation going to his Channel 9 producer girlfriend’s parents.

Since then, Garry and Donna Jack have been uninvited from games and asked to leave dressing rooms, with Donna publicly taking to Twitter in the past to vent her frustrations at Kieren’s behaviour.

However, Kieren expressed his loyalty to his girlfriend earlier this year, telling the media, ‘My priorities of support are firmly with my partner and my little brother [fellow Swans player Brandon Jack], who I love and care for very much’.
