The Hemsworth brothers’ movie characters may lead action-packed lives, but in reality Chris, 32, and Liam, 26, are far more content looking after their health (and vegetable gardens) and having family over for dinner.

The boys recently sat down to discuss what each brother was like growing up, and their attempts to maintain laid-back lifestyles. For Liam, this has come with some difficulty as he recently re-kindled his relationship with high-profile pop star Miley Cyrus.

Confirming the two were not engaged, and refusing to delve into any in-depth discussions on his high-profile romance, Liam fortunately had older brother Chris to address his reclusive attitude towards Hollywood, saying, ‘Well, we certainly have differences in our personalities. I think he’s a little more reserved than me. He was like that in high school; he kept things closer to his chest whereas I probably speak too much.’

Liam agrees. ‘I try to create as little attention as possible… I understand that [there’s a lot of interest there] but I don’t feel the need to go out and tell people about it. It’s more simple that way,’ he says.

The two may seem close now, but their differing personalities allegedly caused some grief when they were younger.

‘Me and Chris didn’t get along very well when we were kids… For whatever reason, maybe because we’re both stubborn, but we’d constantly fight,’ Liam admits. ‘I was a naughty little kid. I had a real temper and I would throw tantrums all the time and chase Chris with brooms and throw knives at him and all kinds of horrible shit.’

Luckily, the two Aussie heart-throbs are now thick as thieves, with Liam admitting that the people he most admires in life are ‘Chris. Chris and Luke.’ Aw.
