Yes, you read that right.

Today it’s been announced that although (devastatingly) there won’t be a Magic Mike 3 film, there will be a stage production. This news comes hot on the heels of the announcement in May that there would be a Las Vegas stage show.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mr Magic Mike himself – Channing Tatum – opened up about a third instalment for the franchise, saying ‘the third instalment will be the show, and I think it has to evolve past these guys,’

‘The first one was about Mike, the second one was about the guys and I think the third one is really about man and woman having a conversation about sex and themselves and who we all are. That’s the next step I would like to take with the story.’

Naturally, legions of women (and men) will be devastated at the lack of a third film, but Channing has promised that the Broadway show has a ‘brilliant, brilliant, director’ attached.

Looks like we’ll be hitting up Vegas and New York now.
