Last night’s Married At First Sight finale produced happily ever after outcomes for the show’s three remaining couples, but since filming wrapped six months ago, a lot has changed in the life of the ‘newlyweds’. In fact, they’ve all split and here’s why…

After displaying his fiery side on the show, which left wife Nicole, 28, extremely concerned, former naval officer Keller, 26, managed to convince his ‘bride’ that he could change for the better.

‘I’ll never break your trust,’ he promised the primary school teacher, but it appears the damage had already been done as he shared in an Instagram post after the finale.

‘Things didn’t work out as planned. We have decided to stay friends though,’ he wrote.

While the duo have dated ‘on and off’ over the past few months, Keller has revealed that he still holds out hope for a reunion, although Nicole says that when she returns to the dating game she’ll be looking for someone completely different.

‘I would go for a guy who is a bit older and mature,’ she tells OK!. ‘I thought he probably just needs to find his bearings and his feet a little bit. He probably wasn’t at the same stage as me because I’ve been living in my home for a while, I have travelled the world, I have a career. He was still tossing up about what he wanted to do with his life, so we are just at different stages in life at that respect.’

Michael & Bella – ‘WE CLASHED’

They said they loved each other within weeks of meeting at the altar, but it appears it was too much too soon for radio presenter Bella, 30, and store manager Michael, 32, who split just a few weeks after filming ended.

‘We went in pretty hard and fast, and gave it everything we had. Then we got back to our normal lives. It’s very different when you’re being filming versus not being filmed,’ tells Bella.

Single dad Michael, who has been in a relationship since splitting with Bella, which has also recently ended, says the differences in their personalities had a lot to do with the break-up.

‘It was hard trying to keep up,’ he tells OK!. ‘She always wanted to be on the go… I would happily stay at home, and she would definitely not.’

The two remain still friends and haven’t given up on finding their perfect partners.

While there were lots of laughs on the show for fireman Mark, 30, and project manager Monica, 28, the questionable chemistry between them completely fizzled out only a week after telling the MAFS matchmakers that they were going to give their relationship a shot.

‘Once the experiment finished, we didn’t really have as much in common as we really wanted to have in common,’ shares Mark. The duo parted ways amicably and have caught up several times since.

And while Mark has fallen back into his single-guy routine of gym, work and hanging out with friends, Monica says she’s very much ready to hit the dating scene again in search of her Prince Charming.
