Mischa Barton has been on her way to a comeback recently, appearing on US Dancing with the Stars as a much healthier and happier version of herself. However, one aspect of her troubled past she hasn’t been able to shake is her legal battles with her estranged mother Nuala over money and property.

In 2015, Mischa took her mother to court for allegedly defrauding her by stealing money from her and taking out massive loans against their jointly owned Beverly Hills mansion without the star’s knowledge. Now, in their latest legal drama, Mischa has accused Nuala of holding up the sale of the home and kicking her out.

The seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom property is worth around $9.4 million and debt-ridden Mischa is said to be eager to sell; however, the actress claims Nuala has not only blocked all attempts for realtors to list the property, but also changed the locks so the 30-year-old can’t even access the home. Nuala has labelled the allegations ‘heinous’ and ‘false’.

Despite both parties initially agreeing to sell the home, Mischa claims Nuala breached the terms of the agreement and ‘actively impeded any sale by locking Mischa out of the Property to prevent her and prospective buyers from accessing the house or providing copies of plans when requested’.
