The news we’ve all been waiting for has arrived – The Bachelorette will be returning in 2017!

The show’s future was left up in the air as ratings took a hit for Georgia Love’s season, however, fans of the show are rejoicing at the announcement of a third season.

Speculation is now rife that this year’s Bachelor runner-up Nikki Gogan will be the leading lady, especially after she became Australia’s sweetheart when losing to Alex Nation in the race for Richie Strahan’s heart.

Hearts collectively broke when we saw Nikki rejected in the finale and now the public is pushing for the single stunner to be the next Bachelorette, which she has admitted she’d be ‘open to’.

A spokesperson for Channel Ten released a statement saying: ‘The recipe of love, drama, excitement, romance and amazing dates has struck a chord with many people and made The Bachelorette Australia one of the most talked about shows on television and a hit across multiple screens.’

We can’t wait!
