Not only did Kensington Palace release the most adorable photos of Princess Charlotte for her first birthday over the weekend, but it also released the gift registry outlining everything the young princess was lucky enough to receive.

And the most ridiculous thing on that list? A $58,000 diamond, ruby and sapphire-encrusted white gold rattle, courtesy of the Natural Sapphire Company. Wow.

Other gifts ranged from a coat courtesy of the Bhutanese government, a donation of $105,000 to health organisation Immunize Canada from Canadian Prime Minister and absolute heart-throb Justin Trudeau, plus an obscure $10,000 donation to a remote pygmy possum sanctuary, thanks to our very own Australian Government.

It seems as if the world somewhat missed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s memo on their desire for a small, low-key celebration for their daughter. But hey, what’s a princess to do?
