Balance is key for a happy Rita!

1. Limit your portions

‘I have what I want. I just don’t eat all of it,’ Rita says. ‘If I want a burger I’ll just cut it in half’.

2. It’s OK to have (a few) treats

Rita’s guilty pleasure is fizzy drinks! ‘The ones that kids have that come in different colours,’ she reveals.

3. Mix it up!

‘I do toning exercises, Pilates, yoga or a hike,’ tells the star, adding that she tends to do her workouts in shorter bursts. ‘I only run for about 10-15 minutes.’

4. Aim to be strong, not skinny

‘I’m not the skinniest person in the world, but I don’t try to be,’ Rita says. ‘I’m more focused on toning, which I feel everyone should try because that comes more naturally.’

5. Eat a healthy lunch and have pasta for dinner

Brekkie is usually a smoothie or eggs. ‘ For lunch I’ll have salmon and chicken-and for dinner I love truffle [pasta]!
