Yoga isn’t just good for your mind and body, it’s got beauty benefits, too.

1. Increase circulation:

2. Boost awareness:

“Through yoga we increase our body awareness,” says Katie Garnett from Yoga Australia. “We become more mindful of how we’re sitting, how we’re standing and aware of tension we’re holding in different parts of our body,” she adds.

3. Relax and repair:

“There are two branches of the nervous system in the body- the fight or flight response and the rest and digest,” says Katie. “Because we live in such busy world, people often operate in fight or flight mode. Yoga gives you an opportunity to kick in to rest and digest, giving your body the opportunity to repair, detoxify, digest, etc.”
