Most Australians remember Alex Nation as the stunning blonde who stole Richie Strahan’s heart on The Bachelor in 2016, but she doesn’t look like that anymore.
The down-to-earth mum of two just debuted a dramatic makeover on Instagram, swapping her signature blonde locks for a darker look.
It was such a big change that even Alex didn’t recognise herself afterwards, captioning the first photo of her new ‘do: “Who is she!?!?”
Sporting a chic brunette bob with subtle curtain bangs and sleek curls, the 30-year-old revealed that the change was a last-minute decision.

(Image: Instagram)“Went into @templehairdesign asking for a Queen who specialises in blonde… left a brunette!” she penned.
After years of alternating between long and short blonde hair – with a splash of copper thrown in just for fun – fans were thrilled to see Alex embrace a new, darker colour.
“Brunettes have more fun! You look fab!!” one commented, another adding: “Love it! You can pull off any colour.”
The change means Alex’s hair now matches her two sons, who both sport mops of dark hair as well as their mum’s cheeky grin.
Alex has sported plenty of different looks through the years.

The effortlessly cool mum also shares Maxwell, eight months, with fiancé Carson Jory, who has become the ultimate soon-to-be stepdad to Elijah.
“Elijah’s dad, step mum, Carson and I do everything we can to make things as easy as possible for all of us,” Alex told Now To Love in 2021.
She revealed the key is “working together” and sometimes having to make compromises, which helps everything work smoothly.

Family photos show the foursome enjoying plenty of quality time together, with more recent snaps revealing how much Elijah and baby brother Maxwell have already bonded.
And with her new brunette ‘do, the similarities between Alex and her two boys are more obvious than ever before.
The 30-year-old first found fame in 2016 when she appeared on Richie’s season of The Bachelor, going on to win and start a serious relationship with him.
But the romance didn’t last and less than a year later they announced they had split.
