Marriage isn’t always a walk in the park. Just ask Brian Austin Green.

The 90210 actor has opened up about his marriage to actress Megan Fox in the latest episode of his podcast …with Brian Austin Green.

“Marriage is hard,” he explained. “It’s work, I think for anyone. I think when you get to the point like we have, where you have kids and you’ve been married for a while and we’ve been together for a long time, it’s – you just take it day by day.”

One quick glance at Brian and Megan’s relationship history will confirm that he’s speaking from experience. The couple has had a famously rocky road.

In August 2015, after five years of marriage and two children together, Megan filed for divorce from Brian, citing irreconcilable differences.

Then in April 2016, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actress stepped out onto the streets of Malibu in a form-fitting dress that showed an obvious baby bump.

The couple then reconciled as they prepared for the arrival of baby number three, Journey River Green who is now 13 months old.

The family are currently all living together and presumably happy despite Brian’s latest comments.

Speaking on his podcast the 44-year-old continued: “You’re in it and then if you’re not, then you look back and you go, ‘That was a great 13 years.’ “

Seemingly hinting at the couple’s previous split, Brian said: “I have no problem with something not working, I really hold no expectations. I try to live day by day… Some people look at divorce or things not working as like a disappointment and it’s not. The fact that it worked at all is a positive.”

“We have three amazing kids,” he said. “We’ve had and have a great relationship and you know we’re just taking it day by day.”

Lastly, Brian admitted that “to be in a relationship takes work and it’s not easy.”

While Brian is mostly likely right about marriage taking work, we’re not too sure why he felt inspired to share his thoughts with the world. We just hope that his comments aren’t hinting at something nasty brewing over at the Green-Fox household.
