Melissa George has reportedly been assaulted by her long-term partner, Jean-David Blanc.
The Grey’s Anatomy actress is said to have called the police and been taken to hospital with bruises on her face.
French website Purepeople says the mother-of-two fronted up to the hospital at 3am with facial injuries.
“According to statements by the actress, she was assaulted by her companion, also father of their two children,” another French news site, M6info, reported.
Melissa reportedly identified Jean-David as her attacker in statements.

Melissa was said to have been in shock and reporting symptoms of pain, nausea and dizziness.
Purepeople also reported that the 40-year-old actress had confirmed her injuries were a result of domestic violence purportedly inflicted by Jean David.

The pair have two children together.
So far, there are no reports of the French businessman being arrested or charged with anything.
The couple have been together four years, and have two sons, two-year-old Raphael and ten-month-old Solal, who was born in November last year.
