A case of a millionaire sounding like a real slum dog.

Excuse us while we hold and replay Evan Spiegel’s comments…

Snapchat CEO and future hubby to Aussie face, Miranda Kerr, allegedly said that his app is is “only for rich people” and that he doesn’t “want to expand into poor countries like India and Spain.”

Why would I want to reach market of close to 2 BILLION humans?

The comments surfaced after details from a complaint made by one of his former employee Anthony Pompliano in 2015 were made public.

At the time, Anthony suggested to Evan that they could expand their user base to India and Spain.

“Spiegel abruptly cut in and said, ‘This app is only for rich people. I don’t want to expand into poor countries like India and Spain,’” the comments in the suit read.

“Spiegel would not entertain any further discussion on the matter.”

Snapchat have since responded to the allegations, releasing a statement, “Obviously Snapchat is for everyone! It’s available worldwide to download for free.”

“Those words were written by a disgruntled former employee. We are grateful for our Snapchat community in India and around the world.”

Miranda is very proud of Evan and his business, saying, “He’s a private guy. He’s very mysterious. And he’s very in the moment. And that’s exactly what his brand represents.”

The comments true or not, it got a LOT of people talking.

Many opted to have their views immoralised, skipping a 10 second snap, people tweeted their outrage.

Soon the hashtag “BoycottSnapchat” started trending across the globe.

The 26-year-old may be the world’s youngest self-made billionaire, but this isn’t the first time Evan has landed in hot water.

In 2014, he was involved in an email scandal during his time at Stanford University, where he was part of the Kappa Sigma chapter – a fraternity with a rather bad record.

Evan’s shocking emails were obtained by Valleywag, and reference everything from cocaine, getting girls drunk and urinating on women.

He later issued an apology, which read: “I’m obviously mortified and embarrassed that my idiotic emails during my fraternity days were made public. I have no excuse. I’m sorry I wrote them at the time and I was a jerk to have written them. They in no way reflect who I am today or my views towards women.”

In the past Miranda has spoken about teaching her little boy, five-year-old Flynn, to be kind… Maybe the supermodel can impart some of that wisdom to her future hubby.
