In what is rapidly turning into one of the ugliest celebrity divorces ever, it seems everyone has something to say about Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s messy split.

Amber, 30, has claimed she ‘lived in fear’ during her relationship with the 52-year-old actor, releasing a photo of herself with a bruised eye, which she claims is a result of Johnny’s violence.

There is certainly a lot at stake, with Amber and Johnny’s pals rushing to take their side. Here, we look at the line-up.

Johnny’s supporters:
The actor’s rep has has released a statement saying he will not comment on ‘salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies’, but this hasn’t stopped his friends and family from defending the star.

Standing firmly in Johnny’s corner is his The Hollywood Vampires band mate Alice Cooper, who notably said ‘the show must go on’ despite calls for boycotts.

His family are also behind him, with Johnny’s 17-year-old daughter Lily-Rose Depp and ex-partner Vanessa Paradis writing public notes defending his character. Lily-Rose describes her father as ‘the sweetest, most loving person I know’, while Vanessa declared, ‘In all the years I have known Johnny, he has never been physically abusive with me.’

Johnny’s friends are also supporting the actor on Twitter, with British actor Paul Bettany, director Terry Gilliam, actor Mickey Rourke and comedian Doug Stanhope all saying the star is not the violent type, with Terry calling Amber ‘a better actor than I thought’.

Finally, the LAPD have indirectly backed Johnny’s denial, with a spokesperson saying there were no signs of a disturbance, or bruising to Amber’s face, when they responded to her call on the night of the alleged incident.

Amber’s supporters:

Amber has been seeking solace in her circle of close girlfriends, who are adamant Amber was hurt by Johnny.

Raquel Pennington, who has been a friend and neighbour to the couple for 13 years, says she was present during the attack which resulted in Amber’s bruising, and that Johnny was ‘screaming loudly’ and wielding a wine bottle ‘like a baseball bat’.

US talk show host Amanda de Cadenet has also been by Amber’s side throughout the drama, as photos emerged of the pair smiling and laughing around the time Amber filed for divorce.

Finally, there are a number of other stars who are said to be supporting Amber in private, as a source close to the actress says, ‘[they] have a lot more to lose by speaking out than [Johnny], who is desperate to save his career.’
The list is also believed to include former Magic Mike XXL co-star Channing Tatum, Nicole Richie, Cara Delevingne and designers Michael Kors and Zac Posen. The mole continues, ‘They are there for her in private, but will not be getting on their soapbox in public.’
