Taylor Swift is facing severe backlash after Instagram developed a tool for the singer to block abusive fan comments on her account.

Taylor has been awarded the ultimate social media tool that other celebrities could only dream of, largely due to the abuse the 26-year-old received following her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet.

One user writes, ‘So Instagram is just deleting shit for T*ylor Sw*ft but dont do nothing when racists harass ppl & say the nword’ – with many others sharing the sentiment.

But it’s not just Taylor who will get the quietly released tool. The idea behind it is for people with large volumes of comments on their photos to be able to mass-delete them – for example, when Tay was inundated with hoards of snake emoji comments following her spat with Kimye.

A spokesperson for Instagram reveals, ‘We’re always looking for ways to help people have a positive experience with comments on Instagram. We’re currently focused on providing tools to improve accounts with the most high-volume comment threads. We will use our learnings to continue to improve the comment experience on Instagram.’

We can see the Kardashians jumping for joy at the sudden possibility of not every comment under their photos being ‘follow for follow’ or ‘like for like’…
