Rapper Tyga has spoken out about his split from 18-year-old Kylie Jenner for the first time since their breakup was confirmed last week.

While at LAX, the 26-year-old was questioned by TMZ as to why the relationship ended, and his response was relatively candid.

‘I think, you know, we’re both just focused on our lives, our individual lives right now,’ he revealed.

He continued to say that although ‘sometimes things don’t work out… I love her’. When asked whether he’ll always love her, Tyga replied, ‘For sure’.

Tyga has traditionally been the first to address rumours and scandal, whether it’s via Twitter or speaking with the media, and the rapper’s been especially vocal about Kylie’s brother Rob Kardashian’s relationship with his ex, Blac Chyna.

Initially taking to Twitter to support their relationship, when asked in the same video how he feels about the pair expecting a child, he said, ‘People grow and it’s time to evolve. Everybody should have the opportunity to have love and to live their life.’

Tyga and Kylie have been romantically linked since the reality starlet was 16, and always seemed to have a strong relationship. However, as a source told People last week, ‘They’re over for good’.
