Tyra Banks has finally become a mum, after a long struggle with infertility.

The 42-year-old and her partner, Norwegian photographer Erik Asla, have welcomed a baby boy via a surrogate.

Everyone deserves to be loved like this.

‘We are so excited for our new baby boy bundle of joy. The journey to now has not been an easy process, as I’ve shared before. But there was a beautiful bright light at the end of the tunnel for me and his father, Erik,’ Tyra said in a statement.

The former supermodel has previously opened up about her struggle to conceive and revealed she had undergone multiple rounds of IVF in the hopes of falling pregnant.

‘When I turned 40, the one thing I was not happy about is that I did not have kids,’ she said in an interview.

‘When you’re like, “Okay, I’m just going to do it,” then it’s not so easy as you get older.’

Well, Tyra’s wish has finally come true, announcing on Instagram the arrival of son York Banks Asla.

‘The best present we worked on and prayed so hard for is finally here. He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin,’ Tyra wrote alongside a photo of a newborn’s hospital hat.

‘As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world,’ she continued.

Congratulations to Tyra and Erik!
